Found some mini “swamp coolers” that plug in via USB and made us comfy enough to get a little nap in during the day while it was so hot.Īs we were painting yesterday, we wondered if anyone had painted their whole bus body with the Tropicool? We feel like it would help with the heat, but seems a little excessive and I’m not sure we would really notice the effects of the Tropicool on the sides as we would on the roof. We don’t have A/C, but we have solar to run the fans. our upcoming trips we won’t be in breezy areas.

On our last outing, it was tolerable with fans and the windows down as long as there was a breeze. For festivals, we generally have to be parked in an open field without shade in the summertime. We are only part-timers, using it primarily for camping and music festivals. I’ve seen some Skoolies painted all white to help with the heat and be a little less conspicuous for camping. We are painting our roof with Henry’s Tropicool!! We put on the first layer yesterday, going back today to put on two more coats. If you just want to plant spam, we may ask you to park your skoolie somewhere else. But please don't use us to harvest clicks - communicate and interact with our community.
